Lynn Freed's Miniature PastelsLynn's miniature pastels follow the same guidelines as any other miniature artwork. Generally, miniature paintings are no larger then 5" x 7" (35sq inches, or 24 inches when the dimensions of all sides are added together). The miniature's detail has to stand up to the closest inspection while maintaining good composition and tonal quality when viewed at a distance. This takes great skill and discipline to achieve, and a miniature artwork can take as long or longer to produce as a large piece of art. Lynn Freed only uses pastel to create her fine art miniature paintings. Few artists master the skills needed to work in pastel; and of those, only a very few would ever attempt to create a miniature artwork. This makes miniature pastels very rare. These exceptional fine art miniature pastels by Lynn Freed are the best in the world. |
